If you want to easily find the locations where you can donate books in Peoria, you’ve come to the right place!
Below, we list several libraries and used bookstores that would all be super appreciative of any donations. There are quite a few local options, so the only tough part will be deciding which organization to donate to!
Friends of the Peoria Public Library

Other Locations: 4 other locations in Peoria (North Branch, Lincoln Branch, Lakeview Branch, McClure Branch.)

How to Donate
The Friends ask that you bring your boxes of books to the back door at the Main Library. They’re able to take big donations here, but if you have smaller donations (one or two boxes) any of the local branches will be able to help.

The Book Nook
Donation Type: Trade/exchange
Location: 6944 N. University St. Peoria, Illinois 61614
Hours: Mon-Sat 10am-6pm
Type of Books Accepted: Anything that can be re-sold

How to Donate
The Book Nook gives you a store credit for any books that can be of value to them. Cheryl Langley, the general manager, and her team will evaluate your titles, so just bring them in to get a valuation, and use your credits to replenish your shelves!

Hours: 9am-8pm Mon-Thu; 9am-6pm Fri; 9am-5pm Sat; 1-5pm Sun from September to May
Type of Books Accepted: Books and audiobooks in good condition

How to Donate
Bring your boxes of gently used books to Fondulac Library during opening hours, or utilize their book drop book bin if you just have one or two titles to donate. As a true local library, they would be greatly appreciative for any books you can donate.
Peoria Book Rack
Donation Type: Trade/exchange

The Book Rack is another awesome local bookstore where you can exchange donated books for store credit. They also sell fun literary trinkets such as mugs, and are woman and veteran owned!
