Check your local library for opening hours, and Live Oak requests you don’t place books in book bins, instead, bring them inside and drop them off at the front desk!

The Village Library

Donation Type: Drop off
Location: 1 Skidaway Village Square, Savannah, GA 31411
Hours: Tues-Sat 10am-5pm
Type of Books Accepted: Children’s books, biographies, local books, cookbooks, mass market paperbacks, trade paperbacks, coffee table books, hardcover fiction and non-fiction books from the past few years
Type of Books Not Accepted: Magazines, informational books (tax, legal, medical etc.), textbooks and reference books, old library books

How to Donate

Drop off small donations during their hours listed above. If you have a large donation (think more than one box full of books) this can be dropped off Saturday between 10am and 12pm, where someone will be able to assist you.


Operation Paperback @ Christ Church Episcopal

Donation Type: Drop off
Location: 28 Bull Street, Savannah, Georgia 
Hours: Call ahead to arrange a time
Type of Books Accepted: Fiction and nonfiction paperbacks, and they especially want books for children of military members, and books for vets suffering from brain injuries

Email the program coordinator Priscilla Carrington: priscillacarrington@gmail.com to arrange a time to drop off.

Operation Paperback supports ex-military personnel and their families by sending them the donated books, and the program ships over 1,800 books per year.
