Have some of your books come to their final chapter of staying in your house? If you’re in OKC, you’re in luck!
We’ve put together a list featuring four local organizations who would be more than happy to take your gently used books off your hands. Whether you have baby books, children’s books, or general fiction and nonfiction, you can be sure there’s a place to donate your books in Oklahoma City!

How to Donate
Youth First has both a community library and book donation bin at the Santa Fe Family Life Center. Drop your books off during the hours listed above.
Youth First partners with young athletes in the local community in OKC and Tulsa to provide them with free books, so you know that your donation is going directly to a child, and helping make a difference in their life. Founder Rachel Jones created the initiative around the concepts of “#booksandball” and “eduaction and athleticism” to help young athletes who don’t have regular access to free books; a great cause!

Schedule a time to drop off by reaching out to them.
Citizens Caring for Children is a more general nonprofit that provides impoverished and at-risk children with essential items and toys. They request new books specifically, so please ensure your children’s books are in excellent condition before considering this option.
Note: Trees For Books was removed from this page in October 2025. The organization had several drop offs around town, but I believe it is no longer in operation.
