Why We Love House of Hope

Though they require relatively specific types of books, this is a local charity that provides shelter for homeless adults and children. A good book can go a long way to comforting anyone in their time of need.

Give a Kid a Book

Donation Type: Corporate donation/Amazon wishlist for new books/drop off
Location: Lion’s Mouth Bookstore, 211 N Washington Street, Green Bay WI 54301
Type of Books Accepted: New children’s books
Website: GAKAB

How to Donate

This is another facet of the Brown County Library Friends’ commitment to raising the literacy levels in the county. Ideal for bulk corporate donations, they recommend you check out their Amazon wishlist on the list above and order directly to them.

If you have new children’s books too, they would certainly be happy to take those.

The easiest drop off location is at the book bin at Lion’s Mouth Bookstore, and this year they are giving you 15% off any purchase if you drop off a book for Give a Kid a Book.

Why We Love Give a Kid a Book

The charitable cause has been going strong for over 35 years in the Green Bay community. Last year, they helped 5,000 underprivileged children in Brown County gain access to reading materials they would otherwise have not had.

It’s also great to see the local bookstore partnering with this cause.

More Wisconsin Book Donation Guides

Well, I always knew Green Bay was famous for football, but it’s refreshing to see the organizations playing their part in keeping literacy local, and offering localized book donation services!

I hope this list has provided you with everything you need to decide where best to donate your books.
