How to Donate

We recommend emailing each individual branch that’s convenient for you to arrange a drop off time.

Though there isn’t any specific drop off information currently on their website, Read Aloud is generally accepting of children’s books in good to like-new condition, as they use the books to power programs in children’s hospitals, as well as to help children in traumatic times. Reach out to them to see how you can help, provided you have some kids’ books you’d be happy for your own children to read.

There is nothing better than the satisfaction of donating locally, when it comes to anything really, and books are no exception. As there are a variety of locations in both Dover and Wilmington, I thought it best to create a ‘master’ list for Delaware in general, so you should find yourself spoiled for choice having read this list!

Either way, I hope I’ve inspired you to keep your books in your local community, and help the programs working in it.
