At Local Book Donations, we strive to provide you with the easiest way to donate your books locally. If you’re looking to donate books in Lancaster and the surrounding area, there are several nonprofits that serve both the local community and charity projects abroad.

Lancaster Public Library

Donation Type: Drop off
Book Resort Location: 225 N. Marshall Street, Lancaster
Opening Hours: Mon & Wed, 10AM-12PM
Juliana Book Store Location: 120 College Avenue, Mountville, PA 17554
Opening Hours: Wed 11-6; Thurs & Sat 11-1
Type of Books Not Accepted: Magazines, Reader’s Digests, encyclopedias pre-2000

How to Donate

There are two donation drop off locations. Simply drop off your books at the most convenient of the two branches for you. The library asks that your books must be in bags or boxes.

For the Book Resort center, bring your items to the back door which is just off Fulton Street.

How to Donate

ReUzit on State is a religious nonprofit that sends all the proceeds from its sales to support the work of the Mennonite Central Committee in third world countries.

They sell all donated books on their Booksavers website.
