Our goal at Local Book Donations is to make finding local places to donate your books easy! Following on from our Kansas City and St. Louis book donation guides, we turn our attention to another of the show me state’s prominent cities in Columbia.

Below you’ll see three excellent organizations that are in need of book donations in Columbia. There are also a few more generic charity stores listed at the end of the list.

First Chance for Children

First Chance gives young families the opportunity to play with others completely free in their safe, friendly environment. Parents can also “check out” books and toys from their popular Lend and Learn Libraries. Their aim is to make learning and playing more accessible for all in the community, and it’s absolutely a great cause to support in Columbia.

To donate, simply drop your unwanted books off at their main office any time during opening hours.

Friends of the Columbia Public Library

The Friends of Columbia Public Library hold four annual book sales a year. The proceeds go to supporting all kinds of services of the Daniel Boone Regional Library collective for anyone in the community.
